Anthony Joseph “AJ” Gaudiello, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2022. AJ was the son of the late Gary and Jean Gaudiello. He was the nephew of Denise Gaudiello of Fairhaven, who raised him like her own. The brother of Alicia Gaudiello, and her fiance Jon Tetreault of New Bedford also, the brother to Leslie Weckesser and (Paul) of Acushnet, daughter of Denise.
AJ grew up in Fairhaven where he lived most of his life. He attended Fairhaven schools and was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech. AJ loved skateboarding, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends. He worked for area landscapers and fished with his father and uncles. He loved spending time with his niece Dakota and his nephew Aiden in which he shared a special bond with music and playing guitar.
AJ was a kind and gentle soul. He loved helping others, and was loyal to a fault. He would do anything for anyone in need and never expected anything in return which is very rare in today’s world. He loved reminiscing about childhood stories, sharing a few laughs, and would go out of his way to be kind to others.
In addition to his sisters and aunt, he leaves behind his aunts; Christine Gaudiello of Calais, Maine, and Donna Carter of Acushnet; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Elizabeth and Lester Blouin; half-sisters, Sidney and Nikki Bookstein; and uncles, Jay, Richard, and Christopher Gaudiello.
A celebration of AJ’s life will be held at the Fairhaven Funeral Home Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4-7pm. For memorial register or facility directions please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a meal with someone hungry, a random act of kindness for someone who needs it, and to do so with no expectation of something in return.
