Joseph B. Andrade husband of the late Joan E. Andrade passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Raynham on January 12th with his children by his side. He was born in Fall River to the late Joseph B. Andrade and Josephine Gonsalves. Joseph was a manual worker by nature, jack of all trades through his life working in different fields and plants such as Royce Aluminum, Silver City Aluminum and Chamberlain becoming a paint line supervisor. Into his "retired years" lending a hand in assisting his children with vehicle repairs, home repairs and the building of there own homes. Joseph and his wife opened their home for many years as foster parents with his favorite job title being Dad. Dad, Joe, Jugg, Jugghead, Grandpa, Grumpy, and Uncle Joe to many will be forever remembered for having a way with his words, always offering a helping hand, a jokester whose laugh could infect a room, his many tattoos, the man who loved a good seafood dinner, or sitting curled up petting a dog listening to his television. Joseph enjoyed the last few years of life with his many friends sitting outside in the sun, or making his grandchildren and great grandchildren laugh.
Joseph is survived by his nine children Kathy Dolan of Tiverton Rhode Island, Ann and her late husband Luiz Leonardo of Berkley MA, Rick Vohnoutka and his wife Gayle of Dartmouth MA, Paul Vohnoutka and his wife Kimberly of Berkley MA, Andy Vohnoutka and his wife Maria of Berkley MA, Twilla Masse and her husband Kenny of Davenport FL, Karen Adam-Dumas of Fall River, Heather Andrade and Alanna Andrade both of Taunton MA, predeceased by his son Joey Andrade, and his daughter Christine Andrade. Joseph is survived by 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, heart felt friends and his beloved care taker Michelle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taunton Animal Shelter.
Visitation for Joseph will take place at the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, on Wednesday, January 18th from 10-11AM with a service immediately following at 11. Burial in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, Taunton.
