Nancy L. (Paiva) Nevitt, 80, of Fairhaven passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Frederick Nevitt.
Born in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard, daughter of the late Manuel and Evelyn (Amancio) Paiva, she was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and lived most of her life in the town. Nancy was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fairhaven.  She had worked as an activities assistant at the former Blaire House in New Bedford until her retirement at age 62.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved to make Christmas rings with.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammi Pacheco and her husband Steven of Acushnet; Kimberly Texeira and her companion Robert Christie of Fairhaven; three grandchildren, Tori Holtman and her husband Adam, Sarah and Shane Pacheco; two nieces; a nephew; and extended children and grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Maryellen Cordeiro.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.  Her funeral will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 9am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.  For memorial register or facility directions please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
