Neil Pineo passed away in the comfort of his home and entered into the arms of his loving heavenly father, on January 8th, 2023. Neil was born on May 29, 1940 in Dighton MA. He and his sisters, Norma Pineo and Nancy (Pineo) Bourdeau, were triplets. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Nellie (McGinnis) Pineo, and was raised in Taunton, MA.
Neil graduated from Taunton High School in 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1959-1963 deployed to Berlin, Germany to stand guard between the East and West side while the Berlin Wall was erected. He attended the NCA Academy. After finishing his military commitment, Neil worked for the New England Telephone Co. for thirteen years. He married his doting bride, Joyce (Leonard) Pineo on June 14, 1969 at Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton, MA. In 1980, Neil enrolled in Barrington College, Barrington, R.I. and graduated in 1984 with a B.S. in Biblical Studies. Neil established and pastored the Church in Raynham, Agape Chapel, and countless people until the very last day of his life. He led small group bible studies for many years up until months before his passing. His passion was to show others the love of Jesus. Neil was known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and attended every sporting event and activity that he possibly could. Papa was quite the comedian, making everyone laugh. He kept his family humored, even into his last days of life just to make everyone feel comfort and at peace.
