Violet A. (Carew) Conley, 92, of Fairhaven passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of the late John R. Conley.
Born and raised in Port Aux Basques, Canada, daughter of the late Fred and Mary Carew, she traveled with her husband who served in the Coast Guard and lived in New York and Baltimore prior to settling in Fairhaven in 1965. Violet had worked at Cameo Curtains.  She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, gardening and loved her cats.
She is survived by her children, Maureen M. Capps of Chesapeake, VA and Dennis M. Conley and his wife Susan of Acushnet;  four grandchildren, Heather Brødeur and her husband Scott of Fairhaven, Robin Rice and her husband Michael of Gloucester, VA, Donald Capps III of Chesapeake, VA and Katie Capps of CA;  8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
