Clarence Amaral, 95, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Raynham.
Clarence was born in Raynham and was the son of the late John Amaral and Mary (Costa) Amaral.
Mr. Amaral served his country honorably in the US Army and was employed as a buffer with Read & Barton Co. for 26 years and also held a long career as a custodian for the Taunton Public School System. Mr. Amaral was an avid bowler and golfer and always found peace spending time outdoors in his garden and working around the yard. He will be remembered by his family and many friends as a simple but hard working man, and true gentleman, who always made the time to help others in need.
Clarence is survived by his son, Larry Amaral and his wife Susan of Taunton; granddaughter Allyson Amaral and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Alfred, Manuel, Mary, Rose, Agnes, and Alice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 9-11am in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
Prayers and Words of Remembrance will begin at 11am.
Burial with military honors will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
