Henry A. Bump Jr, 91, of Berkley passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 26, 2022 in Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the devoted husband of 38 years to Sarah J. (Bindon) Rusconi-Bump.
Born in Middleboro, he was the son to the late Henry A. Bump Sr. and the late Madeline (DeMoranville) Bump. Henry volunteered to serve in the Army National Guard and served during the Korean War. After serving in the Army, Henry volunteered to teach at Camp Edwards. He also went on to work as a special police officer in the Middleboro Police Department. He went on to work as a truck driver until his retirement. Henry was a member of American Legion in Middleboro. He enjoyed riding his 1947 Indian motorcycle, woodworking and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. Henry loved to spend his time with family and friends. Henry was also very fond of Thor, the family cat. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Along with his wife, Henry is survived by his children; Kathleen Olson and her husband William of Taunton, Ellen LaFrance and her husband Chad of Berkley and Joann Field and her husband Roland of Acushnet. Grandfather to Bryan Parmenter of Berkley, Alissa LaFrance of Berkley and Madison LaFrance of Berkley. Henry also leaves behind his cousins; Mary Standish of Middleboro and Caroline St Don of Lakeville.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm in the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home 350 Somerset Ave Taunton, MA 02780. Burial will be held on January 17, 2022 at 10:00am in the Nemasket Hill Cemetery in Middleboro.
