Matthew R. Peresluha, 70, of Taunton, passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 12, 2023 at the Lifecare Center of Raynham.
Matthew was born in Middleboro and was the son of the late Matthew H. Peresluha and Mary (Maksemuk) Peresluha.
Matt was a graduate of Taunton High School and the former SMU, earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He held a long and rewarding career at Crosby Valve and Gauge in Wrentham for many years until his retirement and also worked for Auto Part International in Raynham. Matt had a lifelong passion for the shooting sports. He was a member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club as well as the Copicut Rifle Association in Dartmouth and was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners Action League (GOAL). Matthew was also a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He also liked to dabble in photography.
Matthew is survived by his sister, Jo-Ann Peresluha of East Taunton, Cousins, James Punda and his wife Mimi of Taunton, their daughters, Stephanie Punda of Dighton, Katie Hamm of Foxboro, John Punda and his wife Maureen of East Taunton and their sons, Eddie of Middleboro, and Michael of East Taunton, and many lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9-10am in the Crapo-Hathaway funeral home, 350 Somerset Ave. Taunton, Ma. 02780
Prayers will begin at 10am and burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
